Pneumatics and Food-Processing
Pneumatic systems are a safe and clean option for reliably processing large quintiles of food in a short period of time. They are a better choice than their electric counterparts and this is the case for several reasons. The science of maximizing productivity while maintaining extensive health standards is not simple, but pneumatic systems greatly help in the endeavor.
These systems are widely used throughout the meat industry, and especially for processing poultry. In the United States alone, 37 billion pounds of chicken was processed in plants according to studies done in 2010. The only way to process that level of meat is with automated assembly powered by compressed air. Systems can be made up of a multitude of different machines that are all powered by one pneumatic energy source.
Using compressed air allows for machines to run cleaner than machines powered by gas or electricity. Not only are the machines clean, but they also run quietly. This is because the air compressor is located away from the machine, and it is inside a sound resistant box.
If you work in the food industry, and you want to increase the overall output of your product, while maintaining the highest levels of food safety, consider adding an automated pneumatic system that is built with pneumatic counters and pneumatic valves.
